We at EdHeroes believe education is the most powerful force for human betterment. We are on a mission to improve the access to and the quality of education for people of all ages.
While formal classroom education is critically important, we believe that a broader focus that recognizes and supports the roles of family, friends, and communities is vital to creating well-educated and thriving people.
To achieve this goal, we are creating a new 'operating system' for advancing education based on transparency and decentralization to push for social change. Our worldwide network counts educators, parents, students, policymakers, advocates, and many other people passionate about education as participants. We are bringing them together – one conference, workshop, or event at a time — to share best practices, build novel approaches and catalyze partnerships to better education — for people, for families, and for entire communities.

Chief Adrisor of Golden Plain
He is Former Chairman of National Education Policy Commission (NEPC) and Former Rector of Yezin Agricultural University (YAU) in Myanmar.
He works at YAU since he graduated in 1979 until July, 2018. His specialization is Agronomy. He obtained Bachelor degree in General Agriculture (B.Ag.) from YAU in 1979. He obtained his Master degree (M.Agr.St.) specialized in Crop Science at the University of Queensland, Australia in 1989. He received his PhD degree in Agronomy — Crop Rotation at the University of Kassel, Germany in 2006. His fields of specialization are Agronomy, Farming Systems, Crop Science, Agroecology, Agroforestry, Higher and Vocational Education (TVET), Educational Policy.
He is working now as a Chief Advisor of Golden Plain (GP) in Myanmar and Technical Advisor of MyanSEED in Myanmar.

She performs responsibilities as a founder and Chair of SMILE MYANMR, a Vice President of Myanmar United States Friendship Association, a Co- Chair of MPD- Network, Myanmar Private Sector Disaster Risk Management, Director of Circus Myanmar, and a Technical advisor for Myanmar initiative at Purdue University Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was a former director of English Access Microscholarship Program and an Instructor of Johns Hopkins ICoE at Yangon University, a National Researcher for Child Friendly School and Language Enhancement Program, UNICEF, a Subject Expertise for Teacher College, UNESCO, a program associate of Educasia, Thabyay Foundation, a Program Director of ELT at ICRC, Myanmar Teacher Education Working group, a program coordinator and led in Myanmar Disability Conference, and ASEAN disability Forum, and advisory bord of Myanmar Ethnic Cultural Festival.

She was a visiting scholar to the Study of the United States Institutes SUSI2012 in California State University. She led in Education Seminar at the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge, International Conferences: SUSI Alumni Workshop in Madeira Island, Portugal, She presented at "Soft Power Interaction between Korea and Myanmar" Conference published paper both in Korea and English language and on "Access and equity in Myanmar Education" at the Culture Community in ASIA (ECCA) at Chaung-Ang University, Seoul, Korea, identifying Education policy and Education Leadership and Management with UCL,MOE Myanmar, ASEAN – US Conference , ASEAN – UK Conference, PISA Conference at Oxford, IYIL2019 Conference at Purdue University, Fort Wayne, Indiana and IDEICE International Congress Socialization of Educational Assessment and Impact, Dominican Replubic.
She is currently engaged in CPD trainings and webinars for Teachers Education, Diploma in Education Management program and designing curriculum in Environmental Education. She leads in civic engagement and service-learning programs and involves in community development through Educational programs for women and youth's leaderships and empowerment programs. She also serves as a Capacity building specialist and a technical assistant for the International Institutes and Organizations.

Htet founded MYEO as a university project whilst finishing her second degree at the University of Hong Kong in 2014.
Htet has 10+ years of experiences in Edtech sector focusing on Myanmar market with background in Business, Economics, Design Thinking and Finance. Varsha Pillai
Associate Director, Communication and Advocacy of Dream a Dream
Varsha has over 19 years of experience in the media and Communications domain both in the profit and not for profit sector. A specialist in media and public policy advocacy initiatives, her sustained interest in research continues as a NFAI (National Film Archives of India) research fellow in 2009, followed by a Netherlands Fellowship in 2017. In 2019 she was selected among 10 young leaders globally for the Winterschool for Thinktankers in Geneva as part of the Think Tank Initiative Fellowship. More recently in August 2022, she was selected as a Changemaker by Change.Org India 2022. She completed her PhD on Gender Advocacy in Digital Media in India from Symbiosis International University in September 2022.

Suchetha Bhat is the CEO of Dream a Dream, a non-profit organization that empowers children from vulnerable backgrounds to overcome adversity and thrive in a fast-changing world. Since starting her career in 2001, she has worked both in the corporate and social sectors. After a successful 9-year corporate stint where she worked with MNC's such as Larsen and Toubro and IBM, she started her journey in the social sector as a volunteer with Dream a Dream. The experience convinced her to get a Postgraduate degree in Psychology and join the organization full-time in 2010. Due to her success in driving the scale and strategic direction of Dream a Dream as COO, she was promoted to CEO in 2018. Her pioneering work in developing their design framework has firmly positioned Dream a Dream as a thought-leader in the space of Life-skills in India. Under her leadership, the organization has grown from working with 10,000 young people in Bengaluru to over 1 million children across 5 states. Suchetha is on the Advisory Council of Amani Institute and Kizazi. She is also an advisor to many young women social entrepreneurs and non-profits in India.

Kedaireka is a program to develop ecosystem innovation between Campuses and Industries in Indonesia, currently Kedaireka has managed USD 70 million annually with matching funds from Industry USD 300 million. Besides Kedaireka, Adhit is Executive Director in Solo Technopark, Vice Rector University of Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta and Director in Pijar Foundation.

Monirath Siv is the CEO and Founder of Teach For Cambodia (TFC), a local nonprofit organization that works relentlessly towards a vision that all children will have the education, support and opportunity to create a better future for themselves, their families and communities. Our Leadership Development Fellowship Program hires passionate and committed young Cambodians as full-time teachers for high-needs public schools, develops their leadership mindsets and skills, and fosters a community among them as local agents of change. In the past five years, 111 participants and alumni have taught over 24,000 public school students in urban poor and rural communities. 50% of TFC alumni leaders remain in classroom teaching, work to upgrade education workforce and support school reform priorities. The other 30% serves in the nonprofit sector.
Working together with school leaders, teachers, public and private sector partners, TFC has been implementing innovative curriculums, including AI-enabled personalized learning for math as well as life skills, financial and entrepreneurship education program for students in high-needs public schools. In January, our financial education initiative was selected as the Education 4.0 Lighthouse by the World Economic Forum for being an example of the most innovative and forward-looking education initiatives.
Moni was named the California New Century Scholar by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation (2009), an honoree of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia for Social Entrepreneurship (2019), an Obama Leader by the Obama Foundation (2019), and Quinn Prize for Public Service by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation (2020). He has served as a curator overseeing Global Shapers Phnom Penh Hub (an initiative of the World Economic Forum). Moni is an alumnus of Teach For America and the University of Pennsylvania.

Thurein holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Computer Studies, Yangon. Since graduation, he has worked in the education, conservation and tourism sectors. In 2020, he was selected as one of the representatives from Myanmar to attend the Winter School for ThinkTankers in Geneva, Switzerland. He is currently working for Doh Eain, a Yangon-based social enterprise, as a Senior Public and Educational Outreach Manager. At Doh Eain, Thurein leads public and educational outreach programs including educational webinars and public lectures, and Young City Shapers initiative. Born and raised in Yangon, he is a history buff and enjoys rediscovering the city's lost pasts.

Business Development & Partnership Lead
Pin is currently working to expand partnership among employers, foundations, and other key strategic partners that share the similar vision of bridging the gap between employment and education. Before joining Generation Thailand, Pin co-founded CareerVisa, a social startup that focuses on equipping new generations with clear career goals and supporting their skill development.
Previously, Pin was a consultant at PwC in a sustainability focused unit working to support leading Thai corporates that aspired to be globally recognized for their sustainability approach. Besides her background in sustainability, Pin has spent 6 years advising global and local brands for their strategic communication for both Thai and ASEAN markets.
Pin holds a BBA degree from Thammasat University and a master degree in Leadership Human Resource Program at College of Management Mahidol University.

Sachal is a development communication strategist with a cross sector experience spanning in Communications, Partnerships and Corporate Engagement for over 17 years. He has led on designing and delivering impactful programs and stakeholder engagement strategies in international development organisations, UN agencies, private sector companies and Ministries of the Indian government. He is a strategic thinker, an engagement specialist and a thought leader.
Sachal presently leads corporate partnerships for Plan International in the Asia-Pacific region for 15 countries based in India. Plan is an international development organisation advancing children's rights and equality for girls in over 80 countries.
Educationally, Sachal is a post graduate in Development Communications from AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, an MBA in Marketing and a post graduate in Human Rights Law from National Law School of India University.
